Drunk Rant Baby

It's a short rant, hence the baby. Is it even a rant if it's short? I've had almost a pint of beer, and hence ideas are springing from my mouth to my fingertips. Ideas that I most likely will regret come sunshine.
Here it is: I don't trust anyone that has only Best Of, or Essential albums in their music collection. Like maybe it is an indicator of a person that lacks passion. Someone that is only capable of moderately liking something, and nothing more. Someone who will never delve deeper.
Maybe to me this shows someone who will never try harder, never be there for you, never really care about your answers to their questions. Or, you know...maybe it's just someone with no opinions. Either way: ick!

Of course, strong opinions tend to get me in trouble...or at least annoy those around me. Take, for instance, tonight: Collin has been stuck listening to 2 hours of the Beatles, Willie Nelson, Elvis Presley, and a little Sound of Music Edelweiss thrown in the mix. He called it easy listening, and I felt obligated to be offended. I thought Michael Bolton and Genesis were easy listening. My picks are Oldies, and I'm more than fine with that. I refuse, however, to be thrown in with the Genesis crowd. Those people lost their genitals long ago.
